We decided to go out and talk to some of the top sellers on YouLicense to see what works best for them. With so many different features and ways to license music on YouLicense we wanted to know the secret to their success!
Heather Fenoughty, a composer specialising in music and sound for film, TV, theatre and multimedia projects, has had many successes on YouLicense, regularly licensing her songs in different projects and usages – big or small.
Here is what she had to say about using YouLicense to the max:
“The YouLicense experience for me has been great. It was exactly the kind of system I was looking for. The system is very straightforward. I regularly receive offers or “Quick Licenses” on my tracks with very little marketing efforts on my part, and the integration of the white label ‘music store’ with my own website sealed the deal. “
When asked about the features that work best for her, Heather mentioned:
“The Widget is fantastic for promoting your music on other sites.”Quick License” and MP3 sales are great for older tracks that would normally just be ‘gathering dust’ in my archive, and I like the option of choosing whether or not to enable “Quick License” on my more popular tracks.”
Heather also had some great tips to pass on to help you license and sell your music. Here are her nuggets of wisdom:
•Always respond to offers and correspondence through the messaging service as quickly as possible.
•Sign off your business emails with a signature link to your page.
•Draw attention to your most popular songs with featured playlists so that they appear on the YouLicense homepage.
There you have it! So in case you wanted to try out these features, here is how it can be done.
